Harley Quinn, the DC animated series that definitely isn’t for kids, showed the titular character getting with her famous comic book other half Poison Ivy at the end of season 2. The upcoming season 3 is keeping details under wraps, but star Kaley Cuoco has been teasing a little bit of what we can expect.
The Flight Attendant and The Big Bang Theory star turned Harley voice actress has been speaking to TV Line, and she explained that: “[Harley and Ivy] are living life, loving each other, fighting… their relationship is the main focal point of this season, and it’s hilarious and actually really, really sweet.” According to her, season 3 is “great, it’s ridiculous, it gets more and more insane”.Cuoco also teased that there are going to be some more “brilliant” guest appearances from celebrities, following in the footsteps of James Gunn, Frankie Muniz (as himself), Rhea Perlman and Jameela Jamil.
We do know currently that What We Do in the Shadows (the series) star Harvey Guillén has been cast as Nightwing. Showrunner Justin Halpern previously talked about the future of Harley and Ivy, stating: “When you’ve mostly been in toxic and bad relationships your whole life, how do you then be in a good one? How does the baggage that you bring from all these other relationships affect the relationship you’re in that you really want to work?”
Last season also revealed that Clayface, or at least this universe’s version, is gay, as he was in the early phases of courting with a student named Chad… while pretending to be a female student named Stephanie.Just last week, it was announced that the series would be getting a spin-off of its own, focusing on Kite-Man and his attempt to purchase dive bar Noonan’s.
