For you to use your website links on Facebook, you need to, first of all, verify the domain name on Facebook to avoid being blocked on Facebook.
When you don’t verify the domain name before using it on Facebook, when you share it around groups or pages, Facebook will see it as spam and once that happens, there will be no other choice than to block your website URL from working on Facebook.
So if you are using Facebook also for your website traffic, then one of the things you should ensure that you avoid is getting URL blocked on Facebook because you didn’t verify it.
So to get your domain name verify, there are few steps you must follow in other to successfully get it verify.
1 You have to first of all login to your Facebook

2 Go to your Facebook page and select business suite
3 When you are on the business suite dashboard, check among the options and select “Brand Safety”
4 Click “Domain” and add your domain in which you want to verify on Facebook
5 Select HTML verification (note: there are many other options but I will be using this option for the guide)
6 Download the HTML verification once download
7 Go to Cpanel
8 File manager
9 Public HTML
10 upload the HTML verification you downloaded
11 Select the code downloaded to check if it is successfully uploaded if it is,
12 then return to Facebook and click on verify.
Note: if it is verify, you have be showed a successful text on top of your window.
If you are not using a business Facebook page, you will have to switch it to a business page to be able to verify your domain.
